This locally based Manufacturing and Distribution organisation is a leader in its field providing quality products across the Asia Pacific region. Located in Wollongong, this organisation is currently recruiting for a Purchasing/Inventory Officer on a full time basis. Th is engagement will be for a 2-3 month contract period with possibility for extension.
You will process stock planning and purchasing orders for the organisation and also be required to chase order confirmation and shipping notifications. Obtain quotations and negotiate prices both locally and nationally.
You will ideally have a strong background within a Purchasing environment. Proven experience in inventory control, invoicing, stocktaking, reconciliation of stock levels and cycle counting techniques. Strong communication and coaching skills with the ability to promptly identify and create solutions to problems.
